1. Introduction

Our website primarily offers high-quality used lab equipment for laboratories and researchers. Please read and understand the following terms and conditions before using our site.

2. Payment Methods

  • Payment is by bank transfer only. We accept Wise or a SWIFT wire from your bank. We do not accept credit cards on this site.
  • Payment must be completed within 48 hours of placing the order. After you place the order, our bank details are shown on your order page.
  • If you prefer to pay by credit card, or if you would rather not send a bank transfer to a seller you have not dealt with before, we can list the item on eBay for you instead. eBay charges a 15% fee, so the eBay price will be higher than the price you agreed here.

3. Shipping

  • We ship worldwide via FedEx. However, some countries (e.g., Indonesia) have restrictions on importing used equipment, and an import permit may be required.
  • The shipping cost is not charged separately. Please include it in the amount you offer. Only our handling fee of USD 400 is added at checkout.
  • If the recipient is different from the purchaser, an additional processing fee of USD 200 applies. Please ensure the recipient completes the import procedures correctly. If re-shipment becomes necessary because the importer's documents were incomplete, additional shipping costs will apply.
  • Preparing a shipment for export takes at least one week before dispatch. Large or heavy items take longer, as a custom pallet has to be built and the wood treated. FedEx transit time is additional and varies by destination.
  • Due to the export process, there may be shipping delays, but tracking numbers will be provided once the shipment is dispatched.

4. Responsibility for Product Condition

  • Product condition is left to the discretion of each seller. The site is not responsible for any discrepancies in product condition. Please read the product descriptions carefully before purchasing.

5. Returns and Exchanges

  • No returns or exchanges are accepted on our platform. Please review the product details carefully before purchasing.
  • However, for eBay purchases, returns are possible, but return shipping costs and eBay fees are the buyer's responsibility.

6. Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellation is not possible once the product is purchased. No changes or cancellations can be made after the purchase is completed. Please ensure you are certain about your purchase before confirming it.

7. Import Taxes and Duties

  • Import taxes and customs duties are the responsibility of the buyer. Please ensure all necessary documentation is provided to customs for clearance.
  • If the product is rejected by customs and returned, the return shipping cost will be the buyer's responsibility. Additional shipping costs will apply for re-delivery.

8. Customs and Return Policy

  • If the product cannot clear customs and is returned to us, the return shipping and re-shipping costs are payable by the buyer.
  • The order itself is not refunded.
  • If these costs are not paid within 14 days of the date we notify you that the package has been returned, ownership of the product passes to us and we may resell the item to another buyer. Please understand these terms before purchasing.

9. Agreement upon Payment Completion

  • By completing payment, you agree to the terms outlined above. This includes understanding and agreeing to our cancellation and return policies.

10. Privacy and Personal Information

  • We take privacy seriously and ensure your personal information is carefully protected. We collect and use personal information only for the purposes of processing orders and arranging delivery. To ship your order we must provide your name, address and contact details to our carrier (FedEx) and to the customs authorities in Japan and in the destination country. Apart from these, your information is not shared with third parties unless required by law. If you have any questions about how your information is handled, please feel free to contact us.

11. Disclaimer

  • Sales of products on our site are based on the condition described on the product page. Returns are only accepted for eBay purchases, and we do not accept returns for any other transactions.
  • We are not responsible for shipping delays. Delays caused by customs, weather or the carrier are outside our control, and we do not offer refunds or compensation for delay.
  • If damage occurs in transit, please contact us within three days of receipt with photographs of the damage and of the outer packaging. Please keep the outer packaging and packing materials until the matter has been assessed. As the shipper of record, we file the claim with the carrier.
  • Anything we are able to do about damage in transit is decided case by case, based on the outcome of the carrier claim and on our own assessment. In no event will our liability exceed the amount you paid for the item.
  • We are not responsible for loss of profit, the cost of obtaining replacement equipment, business interruption or any other consequential loss.

12. Compliance with Export Regulations

  • We comply with all export regulations and ensure that no products are shipped illegally. If any product requested by a customer violates export regulations, we reserve the right to refuse the sale.

13. Discontinuation of Product Sale

  • If a product's sale is discontinued, we may stop offering it without prior notice. No returns or exchanges will be accepted for products that have been discontinued.

14. Legal Responsibility

  • Any disputes related to these terms and conditions will be governed by Japanese law and resolved in the Otsu District Court.
